SDS 1200 & DDS 1800 windshifters in operation in the UK ๐ฌ๐ง
Turning Waste into High-Quality RDF & Recoverable Materials

A recycling facility is processing C&D waste using a combination of Nihot SDS and DDS windshifters, delivering highly efficient air-based separation.
Separation results:
โ
Clean hardcore โ inerts, stones, glass, metals
โ
Recovered wood fraction โ suitable for further recovery
โ
RDF / SRF fraction โ clean, consistent fuel quality
How the system works:
The SDS 1200 separates the input into a light RDF fraction and a heavy fraction containing inerts, stones, glass, wood, and metals.
The DDS 1800 takes separation a step further with a true 3-way split:
1๏ธโฃย Light fraction โ SRF
2๏ธโฃ Mid-heavy fraction โ wood, dense plastics, and similar materials
3๏ธโฃ Heavy fraction โ inerts, stones, glass, metals
Technology behind the performance:
Nihot SDS windshifters use negative pressure (aspiration) to separate waste into heavy and light fractions โ a method proven to deliver the highest separation accuracy.
The DDS windshifter builds on this principle with a unique 3-way separation, meaning 1 windshifter = 3 clean fractions.
