Producing Clean Coarse RDF with the SDX windshifter ๐ซ๐ท
Efficient removal of non-burnable materials for high-quality RDF production

This Nihot SDX 1400 windshifter is operational in France, producing a clean coarse RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) by efficiently removing non-combustible materials from the waste stream.
Operational in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) waste, the SDX separates heavy inert materials from the burnable fraction, resulting in a higher-quality RDF with an increased calorific value and a more consistent fuel for energy recovery.
Separation Results:
Light fraction Clean coarse RDF suitable for energy recovery
Heavy fraction Non-combustible materials (stones, glass, metals and other inert materials)
โ๏ธ How the SDX Works
Nihot windshifters use negative pressure (aspiration) to separate waste into heavy and light fractions โ a method known for its high separation efficiency. The SDX windshifter is specifically designed as a robust, cost-efficient solution for removing inert materials from waste streams, ensuring maximum protection of downstream equipment at the lowest cost per tonne.
