Joined forces on Iceland, DRS disc screen and windshifter operational in C&D waste.

Nihot supplied a DRS disc screen for removing <40 mm fines. The overs (40-300 mm) of the screen are the input to the SDS windshifter for the recovery of wood (heavy fraction) and for plastics (light fraction). The SDS has a unique feature of an extended light fraction discharge conveyor which is directly used as a sorting conveyor inside the sorting cabin.

The BHS Debris Roll Screen® (DRS) is an accurate sizing tool, with patented solid steel Hardox equivalent triangular discs which are in-line from shaft-to-shaft, creating precise openings for highly accurate material sizing and an absolute minimum of potential wrapping.

The Nihot SDS windshifters are characterized by using negative pressure (aspiration) to separate waste into a heavy and light fraction. This method has proven to provide the most precise separation efficiency.
