Joined forces, Nihot’s DRS disc screens and SDX windshifters operational in an installation in Thailand!

Nihot supplied 2x DRS disc screens for removing <70 mm organics from MSW waste. The overs (70-200 mm) of both screens are the input to 2x SDX windshifter for removing inert material for the protection of the secondary shredder (reducing OPEX) and creating RDF with a high calorific value.

The DRS disc screen is an accurate sizing tool, with patented solid steel Hardox equivalent triangular discs which are in-line from shaft-to-shaft, creating precise openings for highly accurate material sizing and an absolute minimum of potential wrapping.

The SDX is a windshifter dedicated for RDF/SRF production plants, using industry-leading negative pressure technology to remove inert from the waste stream for the protection of secondary shredders.
