At a recycling facility in France, a Nihot SDS 1400 windshifter is processing C&I (Commercial & Industrial) waste, delivering reliable and precise air-based separation.

Separation Results:
The SDS creates two fractions:
โ€ข Light fraction – RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) suitable for energy recovery
โ€ข Heavy fraction – Inert materials removed from the waste stream

How the SDS Works
The Nihot SDS windshifter uses negative pressure (aspiration) to separate waste into heavy and light fractions. This air-based separation method has consistently proven to provide very high separation efficiency, even with challenging mixed waste streams.
With its robust design and low-maintenance operation, the SDS is widely used in C&I and C&D recycling plants to improve fuel quality and maximize material recovery.
