Cleaner RDF Production with the SDX windshifter in Romania ๐ท๐ด
Efficient inert removal for higher-calorific fuel

A Nihot SDX 1400 windshifter is now operational in Romania, processing prepared RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) and removing non-combustible materials to produce a cleaner, higher-quality coarse RDF fraction. By efficiently removing inert material, the SDX helps reduce OPEX and downtime, supporting more continuous and reliable operation of the cement production facility (klopt dit?).
Separation Results:
Light fraction high-quality RDF
Heavy fraction Non-combustible materials (stones, glass, metals and other inert materials)
โ๏ธ How the SDX Works
Nihot windshifters use negative pressure (aspiration) to separate waste into heavy and light fractions โ a method known for its high separation efficiency. The SDX windshifter is specifically designed as a robust, cost-efficient solution for removing inert materials from waste streams, ensuring maximum protection of downstream equipment at the lowest cost per tonne.
