WSF windshifter for extracting plastic film for further processing (waste recovery)

A recent installation in a Municipal Solid Waste Mechanical Treatment Centre in Portugal (Azores). Nihot supplied a WSF windshifter for extracting plastic film for further processing (waste recovery) and 2 x Film Aspiration System (FAS) suction points for taking out film and foils from the waste stream (manual sorting).

The WSF 1200 windshifter is processing 11 tph with a 40-400 mm fraction size. The WSF is a windshifter dedicated for packaging waste applications where only plastic film and foil need to be removed or recovered.

The Film Aspiration System (FAS) is a combination of one or more suction points above a sorting belt, a recirculation fan and a Rotary Air Separator (RAS). Within this installation the WSF windshifter and 2 x FAS are connected to 1 x fan and 1 x RAS.
